NOTICE : Candidates for the license in Nursing

The Ministry of Public Health and Population through its Directorate of Training and of Development in Health Science, informs the candidates that the extraordinary examinations to obtain their nursing license, will be held on August 1, 2014 from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm in the premises of Frères de Saint Louis de Gonzague, located in Delmas 31. The list of candidates and their respective room, can be downloaded on www.msss.gouv.ht

The Diaspora in the Carnival of Flowers 2014

Hundreds of Haitians from the diaspora participated with pleasure in the parade of three days of festivities of the 3rd Edition of the Carnival of Flowers 2014. They were many to come dance, sing on the stand of the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), which has also hosted many Government officials and former senators and former holders of MHAVE.

Visit of hotel projects and Bed and Breakfast

Earlier this week, Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, the Departmental Director of the South East of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), accompanied by her statistical consultant, Dr. Yanick Smith, visited several hotel sites and B&B under construction n the town of Marigot, Cayes-Jacmel and Jacmel (Cyvadier) in order to be aware of the progress of work aimed at increasing the tourist reception capacity.

The coalition for Law and Justice (CODJUST) an NGO based in Boston, organized at the hotel Montana August 7, 2014 5:30 pm next to 9:00 pm a symposium on the theme: "The upcoming elections in Haiti : the Challenges "speakers include personalities and candidates in the forthcoming elections among others: Dr. Smith Magny, (Senate, Department of the West), Dr. Anrino Destinoble (Senate, Department of the Centre), economist Louberson Vilson (Senate, Nippes) and Dr. Myrtau Calixte, MD (Deputation for the Department of the Centre).

Two reintegration projects for 200 youth

Thursday morning, the Section of Community Violence Reduction (CVR) of the Minustah, in partnership with the Association of Volunteers for International Service (AVSI), has launched two social reintegration projects for 200 youth from disadvantaged neighborhoods of Cité Soleil and Martissant. These projects come in support to the Haitian government in its policy of reintegration of children and youth in the streets.
