Arnel Bélizaire 9th day of hunger strike
Tuesday, to the 9th day of his hunger strike, the Deputy Arnel Bélizaire, keeps the moral and considers himself as someone "blessed of God" [?] Furthermore, although physically he seems to have a little thinner, he is no longer very clear in his words when he says convinced "I've never done unfortunate things to the society nor unconstitutional [...] we have a sick society. We must sacrifice ourselves for it..."

Anniversary of Simon Bolivar
July 24 brought the anniversary of Simon Bolivar. On this occasion, a delegation visited the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the founding father of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to lay a wreath of flowers in tribute to Simon Bolivar. The Head of the Mission of Haiti to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Lesly Jean Benoit, was among those who received a Honor Pin, for having represented the first independent black republic of America and the only Caribbean country to have supported the cause of emancipating of Simon Bolivar.

Towards joint ventures Bahamas-Haiti ?
Vasant Bharath, Minister of Commerce, Industry, Investment and Communication of Bahamas hosted a business networking lunch for a delegation led by President Michel Martelly and Wilson Laleau, Minister of Trade and Industry Monday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Speaking briefly at lunch,
Bharat spoke of the intentions of Trinidad and Tobago to create joint ventures with Haitian counterparts to access foreign markets and promote trade and investment. President Martelly highlighted the healthy economic progress that Haiti has achieved as they seek to create investment opportunities.
