At the same time, I am concerned that there is still some disagreement between the executive and legislative branches but I am sure that under your leadership this will be solved and the elections will be conducted in an inclusive, credible and democratic way. The holding of inclusive elections this year is essential for the continuity of parliament in 2015, and for the consolidation of democracy and the rule of law. I therefore urge all political leaders to work towards the holding of fair, credible and transparent elections this year. Political stability is a key prerequisite for Haiti to continue on the path of progress. [...] The United Nations will continue to accompany the Government and people of Haiti throughout this journey." Order of new appointments to the CEP Tuesday President Martelly officially confirmed having received he correspondence of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) on the appointment of Ms. Yolette Mengual to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), affirming that he will sign on Wednesday, the order of appointment of Ms. Mengual and Max Mathurin (Representative Parliament). At the same time, the Head of State urged senators to do their part by voting the amendment to the Electoral Law. 36th Government Council Wednesday at the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, will chair from 5:30 pm, the 36th governing council to be held under the theme "Infrastructure and Public Services." The head of government will review the progress of some infrastructure construction projects undertaken by the government to boost the process of development of country ; as well as on quality of services offered to citizens by public service organizations, which are the bridge between the state and the population. Ban Ki-moon in solidarity with the victims of cholera During a religious ceremony in Las Palmas, Ban Ki-moon declared "We are here together to remember the many thousands of people who have lost their lives to cholera, and to express our solidarity with their families and friends. I know that the epidemic has caused much anger and fear. I know that the disease continues to affect an unacceptable number of people. Whatever I say today will not lessen the despair you have felt over the loss of your loved ones. [...] My wife and I have come here to grieve with you. As a father and grandfather, and as a mother and grandmother, we feel tremendous anguish at the pain you have had to endure. I want to assure you that the United Nations and its partners are strongly committed to ending the epidemic as quickly as possible.
