The presidential couple visits Mirlande Manigat
Monday morning, President Michel Martelly and his wife Sophia Martelly, has paid a sympathy visit to Mirlande Manigat in the home of former President Leslie Manigat, who died last Friday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11464-haiti-politic-leslie-manigat-passed-away.html

"The departure of Professor Manigat for the beyond, is a great loss for us. This multidimensional man has honored our country through the largest universities in the world. It was a privilege today of having been in his residence to salute the family grieving for the loss," declared the Head of State at the end of his visit.



Michaëlle Jean on he land of our ancestors
On a visit on the African continent, Michaëlle Jean declared "I'm back in Africa, the ancestral land where all of us began. Setting foot on Benin soil is a much anticipated return to the roots for me. Upon arrival in Benin, I am greeted by, and meeting with, the Foreign Affairs Minister to talk about North-South cooperation and cooperation with Haiti." Rehabilitation of roads in Saint-Marc
The rehabilitation of the road network in Saint-Marc, with a length of 7.2 kilometers, crossing the Pont-Tambour is completed at 85%. This stretch of road leveled and covered with asphalt will not only favor socio-economic development of the municipality of Saint-Marc and the surrounding areas, but also the transportation of agricultural products including corn, the main staple of the area.
