Ratification of the election law, new failure

Rodolfo Mattarollo passed away
Rodolfo Mattarollo, Argentine lawyer and human rights defender, representative of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) in Haiti, died after an illness. His funeral will be held this Thursday, June 19 in Buenos Aires. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.

Young trained in reception staff
Wednesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) went to the hotel school to meet a group of young people from different cities of the country, who will be trained as reception staff for Toussaint Louverture International Airport. These young people will have to inform visitors and promote cities, tours and travel packages. They will be deployed in several teams according to flight schedules.

EU grants an additional €5M to Haiti
On Wednesday, the Commission of the European Union announced an additional €5M o strengthen its humanitarian work in Haiti. The information was confirmed by Nicolas Louis, Head of Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO), who pointed out that the aid was a significant contribution to efforts to support displaced and control the cholera epidemic and also to efforts to strengthen the resilience of the most vulnerable populations in Haiti.
