Meeting with Michaëlle Jean
Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight Against Extreme Poverty met Michaëlle Jean, the UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti, to provide an update on the craft projects in Jacmel, Creative Village Milot and the training project "Now Institute". Through these projects, the Government, with the help of partners such as UNESCO intends to mentor artisans, train them, to help them raise their creations to a standard level, to then set up a marketing structure at the international level. Security of the tourism sector
Two representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) Carl Henry Boucher, Chief Commissioner, responsible for Tourist Police and Wilfrid A. Casimir, Coordinator of this unit, participated from June 11 to 13 in Mexico City, to a workshop-Seminar on "Security in the tourism sector of CARICOM Member States". This workshop was an initiative of the Secretariat for Multidimensional Security of the Organization of American States (OAS), the Mexican Government through its Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

New CEO to the Dinepa
Friday, Jacques Rousseau, Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communication, has proceeded with the installation of Bénito Dumay, as the new Director General of the "National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation" (DINEPA). Mr Dumay succeeds Engineer Lionel Joseph Duvalsaint, who resigned earlier this month.
