Nearly 15,000 confirmed cases of Chikungunya
According to the latest report release by Dr. Raymond Guirlaine Charité, Director General of the Ministry of Public Health, the number of confirmed cases of Chikungunya in Haiti since May 6, now stands at nearly 15,000.

Laurent Lamothe with the near the farmers of Kenskoff
On Friday, Prime Minister Lamothe Lurent went to Kenskoff, as part of a tour to support farmers in the area. The event was marked by the distribution to farmers, in the premises of "Zafe Neg konbit" and "kay Pe Sico", of 1,000 food kits "Panye solidarite", 500 kits "Kore peyizan" and 300 tools (hoes) and other agricultural equipment.

Tour of the Minister of Tourism in Anse à Veau
Friday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry, went to Anse à Veau and visited : Saut du baril, the Caves Jean Jacques Accaau and the Fort Dubois to identify the needs of these natural and historical sites.

End the Feed the Future West / Winner program
The project Feed the Future West / Winner in Haiti, of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which began in June 2009 ends this Saturday, May 31. Funded to the tune of 127 million U.S. dollars over a period of five years, this project has helped the, increasing of the agricultural productivity, improving watershed stability, strengthening agricultural markets and reduce poverty. The Secretary of State for agricultural recovery, the agronomist Joseph Vernet, welcomed the initiative of USAID, through the Winner project and gave the assurance that the Ministry of Agriculture will monitor actions undertaken.

Inauguration of the Hotel Monte Cristo
Friday in the presence of the Ministry of Tourism, represented by its Secretary of State, Ms. Jessy Menos and the Director General, Ms. Maryse Noel was inaugurated the Hotel Monte Cristo (Tabarre) with a capacity of 84 rooms.
