The fight continues against Chikungunya
The Ministry of Health continues its fumigation campaign to fight against Chikungunya and reminds that everyone should contribute to destroying mosquito larvae in its vicinity. A team of fumigation is currently in action in Cité Soleil. The Ministry gives priority to the destruction of the vector and has already affected several neighborhoods of the capital. Fumigation devices are available in provincial towns and 5 teams are working in the metropolitan area.

Tireless Gérald Oriol Jr.
As part of a meeting in Panama, of the Organization of American States (OAS) on the rights of persons with disabilities, Gérald Oriol, Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Disabled Persons that participates in this meeting since Tuesday, gave a presentation on "The Thematic of Disability in Haiti: Responses Spontaneous to a Systematic Management." The goal was to highlight the achievements and challenges of objectives to advance on the disability issues. After some background, Gérald Oriol, Jr., gave a presentation on the achievements of the government in the area, the ongoing projects and perspectives that guide the future interventions.

Installation of the Director General of the RTNH
Wednesday, Dr. Rudy Hériveaux, Minister of Communications, has proceeded with the installation of Dr. Harrisson Ernest as new Director General of Radio Television Nationale d'Haiti (RTNH). He replaces Joseph Damas, which was at the head of the RNH.
