Discussions about the construction of 1,000 housing
Friday, as part of Support Programme to the Intervention Plan in the Area of Housing (SPISH), a meeting was held in the premises of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES). A representative of the "Food for the Poor" organization took part in the work session, the purpose was to discuss of the progress of construction of 1,000 housing units including: 242 in Terrier Rouge, 184 in Ouanminthe and 574 in Caracol. Remember that this project is funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the construction of these units is in accordance with international standards of construction.

Wednesday, May 14, several opposition organizations have announced their intention to demonstrate in the streets of Port-au-Prince, the date marking the third anniversary of the inauguration of President Martelly. These latter intend, s usual denounce the excesses of the Martelly administration and demand the resignation of the Head of State.

15 Haitian customs agents in Italy
15 Haitian customs agents assigned to the border, will soon travel to Orvieto (Italy) undergo training of trainer for 4 weeks, organized by the International Bureau of Narcotics Affairs and Strengthening Law (INL) of the Embassy of the United States, in cooperation with the Bureau of Customs Monitoring of the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minsutah). INL funds about half of the program in ensuring the travel and equipment and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will cover the cost of training and accommodation costs in Italy. The program includes professional visits to ports and airports, practical exercises and a review of issues related to the management of trade flows, the fight against tax evasion and strengthening of customs control.

Project Digital Education
Monday, May 12, the Ministry of Public Works in partnership with the Ministry of Education will launch the project "Digital Education" by signing two agreements that will mark the start of a major reform in the Haitian education. New technologies being in the spotlight, it is more than appropriate that academic institutions are equipped to a better quality of training, initially at basic level and a second time in the secondary.
