Haiti - News : Some news here and there... 26/04/2014 13:09:07 The Bahamian authorities intercepted off Ragged Island earlier this week, during a routine patrol a sailing boat overloaded with 132 Haitian migrants undocumented onboard (114 men, 22 women and 6 children). The migrants were taken to a detention center on the island of New Providence after being examined by a medical team in Nassau and they probably should be repatriated to Haiti this weekend. Redevelopment works of the Beach « La Tourterelle » A delegation led by Ms. Maryse Noël, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, composed of representatives of the National Center Equipment (CNE), JEDCO service and the Metropolitan Service Solid Waste Collection (SMCRS), carried out an assessment visit of redevelopment works of the beach "La Tourterelle" in les Cayes, in preparation for the feast of this beach scheduled for May 21. Accompanied by the Departmental Delegate, Serge Chery, and members of the Regional Office South Tourism, Maryse Noel visited a part of the seaside of Les Cayes, where a project is being considered to fight against erosion and create a Boulevard of the Sea, on the coast of Les Cayes.
