Visit of Mexican Chancellor José Antonio Meade Kuribreña
Friday, Chancellor José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, will visit Haiti during which he will discuss with Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of regional and bilateral issues. He will also make a courtesy visit to President Michel Martelly and reiterate the invitation of President Enrique Peña Nieto to participate in the "III Cumbre México-CARICOM" and to the Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), to be held in Merida (Yucatan), 29 and 30 April.

Health: Donation of $2.5 million from Japan

The Government of Japan has just granted UNICEF a support of nearly 2.5 million U.S. dollars to support the Haitian government's National Plan for the Elimination of Cholera in Haiti. Access to water, sanitation and hygiene in Haiti remains a major condition for the elimination of this disease. This donation will contribute among other to renovating the water and sanitation infrastructures for populations of 20 locations at the Central Department.

Exhibition "Maskarad" in MUPANAH
The Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH) invites you to visit until March 18, 2014, the exhibition "Maskarad" on the history of carnival masks of Jacmel. This exhibition, already presented in the carnival of Jacmel, was designed by the New Wave Collective gathering young from Jacmel, who put their artistic talents to
the benefit of the recovery of the Haitian culture. The exhibition design is a proposal of Ronald Mevs.

Change of military command of the MINUSTAH
Thursday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has appointed Brazilian General José Luiz Jaborandy Jr (born in 1958) as Force Commander of the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (MINUSTAH). He will replace, from March 15, his compatriot, General Edson Leal Pujol.
