Visit of a Spanish-Haitian delegation in Haiti On Friday, a Spanish-Haitian delegation began an exploratory visit of the Destination. Meeting with the awareness platforms of the Ile-à-Vache On Saturday, the Minister of Tourism met with representatives of different dialogue platforms established in Ile-à-Vache (IAV). These entities are formed by the Centre for Research and Development and cover 11 towns on the island. The leaders of the platforms will soon submit to government actors involved in the implementation of the development plan, specifications and recommendations for the proper progress of the project. Note that before meeting representatives of platforms, the Minister toured the Police Station, on the site of the court of the commune and also explore the site of the future Centre of Refuge of the IAV and the orphanage of St. Francis Assisi. Message of sympathy of the Chancellery The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned with grief and emotion the news of the sudden death of Ambassador Guy Alexandre. In a statement the Chancellor pointed out that Ambassador Alexander was a "connoisseur of Haitian-Dominican Relations and migration issues, he has also contributed significantly to the reflection and intellectual production on the best possible management of migration flows and to defend the interests of Haitian migrants, particularly in the Dominican Republic. The Chancellery prostrates before the remains of this illustrious man, one of the most worthy son of the nation, and expresses its deepest sympathies to his wife, his children, his grandchildren and all other relatives and friends affected by this mourning."
