27th Council of Government
Wednesday, February 19 at the Primature, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe will chair, his 27th Government Council. It will be an opportunity to present to the public the various special plans in place in several parts of the country for helping the poor. hese plans should, in the short and medium term, bring a real change in the social and economic environment and allow Haiti to fight effectively against poverty and extreme poverty. Each plan has a coordinator who is responsible for ensuring sound management of funds and the strategy for implementation of projects.

Arrest of Jose Eddy aka "baby"
On the night of Friday 14 to Saturday, February 15, in the town of Rakèt, the police of Croix-des-Bouquets has arrested 6 suspected criminals including José Eddy aka "baby" suspected of involvement in the attempted of assassination of police officer Nerestant Néré.

New head of the Police Station of Île-à-Vache
Saturday, February 15, Brice Myrtil, the Chief Commissioner of the district of Les Cayes, has proceeded to the installation of the Inspector Loture Jean, as new head of the police station of Île-à-Vache. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor, Fritz Cézar and police officers of Île-à-Vache.

4th Sunday pre-carnival, 39 injured
Monday, according to a report provided by the Inspector Garry Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesperson of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), during the 4th pre-carnival Sunday, 39 people were injured, including two shot. 20 injuries were reported in the Champ de Mars and the other 19 in Petion-ville.
