Curb illegal emigration

At the request of the Primature, the Director General Klaus Eberwein of Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), coordinated a multiparty mission of information and evaluation in the Northwest and on the Turtle Island in conjunction with the National Coordination for Food Security (CNSA), the World Food Programme (WFP), the FEWSNET (Famine Early Warning Systems Network), the United Nations Food and agriculture Organization (FAO) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The Government intervention in the North West aims to help to curb illegal emigration to foreign Islands

Journalists discover the North Destination

Earlier this week, the Northern Regional Office received a group of journalists (French and Dominicans) in Cap-Haitien. The purpose of this trip was to provide an opportunity for these employees of the Press, who came for the first time in Haiti, to discover the North Destinationin order to produce stories after having "lived the experience". The business sectors of Delmas wants electricity at the right times

The business sector of Delmas ask to Jean Herrol Morose, Director of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) to extend the hours of electricity to enable them to function better. Businesswomen and businessmen operating on the route up Delmas at the height in particular of Delmas 47 asking the direction of EDH that instead of cutting off electricity every day around 3:00 pm to please extend it until 6:00 pm even if the electricity return with 3 hours late the next morning.

Visit of the irrigation system in Léogâne

Wednesday, within the framework of Support Programme for the Reconstruction of Léogâne (RELEO) a delegation of Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) visited Léogâne. During the visit, the delegation supervised the rehabilitation of the irrigation system of the area, which is a solution to the problem of silting of the channels, to the loss of irrigation water and poor management of the water by irrigation managers. The rehabilitation of this system will allow the improvement of irrigation of Momance-Madame Verguier.
