Friday, Ambassador of France in Haiti, Patrick Nicoloso visiting Jacmel declared "the election must be inclusive and fair, but it is not the international community that will organize the elections. A Consul of Haiti dynamic in Suriname Alex Jospitre, the Consul General of the Republic of Haiti Suriname, Alexandre Rosario, Vice-Consul and the young Haitian leader Anive Pierre, met Ashwin Adhin, the Minister of Education and Community Development of the Republic of Suriname. At this meeting it was discussed the participation of the Haitian community to future cultural events in Suriname ; of a request setting May 18 "Day of Haitians" ; the idea of a cultural center and learning for the Haitian community and a scholarship program and seminars for Haitians in Suriname. The new Ambassador of Taiwan taking office in February Peter Hwang, the new Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China), will officially take office in Haiti at the beginning of next month.
