$5 million to begin development in Gonaïves
Wednesday in Gonaïves, during the commemoration of the 210th anniversary of the independence of Haiti, President Martelly recalled that his administration had already taken steps to inject 5 million U.S. dollars in Gonaïves before the national carnival, to begin development and put people at ease.

Certification of school friends of hygiene
The Ministry of Education announced at a recent workshop on the program of "Certification of school friends of hygiene" that it intended to certify over 2 years, a minimum of 100 schools from the point of view "water, sanitation and hygiene", to make of them a model at the national level, adding that funds are available for this purpose. The PNLC built 115 hillside lakes
In its year-end balance sheet, Camithe Israna Germain, General Coordinator of the National Program of hill lakes (PNLC) announced that since the inception of this program "We built 115 hill lakes covering an area of ​​160 hectares with a capacity of more than 5.6 million m3 of water and created 23.460 direct jobs in different localities involved in 8 of the 10 departments. Funded by the Treasury, the PNLC aims to fill the water deficit in arid areas of the country and develop vegetable gardening.

Final Evaluation of Program « ARCADES »
Josette Darguste, acting Minister of Culture recently met the National Authorising Officer, Jean Edner Nelson who was assisted by his adviser, Pierre Michel Derivois and Ms. Johanna Joseph, Assistant-Head of the Support Program for Strengthening of Culture and Art for Economic and Social Development (ARCADE). The meeting was organized around a comprehensive and final program evaluation, which is a project of the Ministry of Culture funded by the European Union (EU). Points of discussion revolved around the monitoring of the administrative and accounting closing of the Programme as a prelude to the arrival of the EU audit mission and ownership by Haiti, of the the achievements of this program.
