Accreditation of 655 schools

$29 million of Venezuela
At the end of Alba-TCP-Petrocaribe Summit, which was held in Caracas on 16 and 17 December 2013 Thomas Jacques, Minister of Agriculture declared that Venezuela has approved two projects for Haiti for an amount of 29 million U.S. dollars. "The second phase ofagricultural intensification project of The Artibonite Valley for $ 14 million and the strengthening of agricultural equipment in the country which will cost $15 millionwill begin their execution phase by the year 2014 [...] We have also signed an agreement with Venezuela that will allow us to buy fertilizers at discounted prices."

Wednesday, on the occasion of the International Migrants Day, the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), welcomed the involvement and contribution of migrants in all activities generating economic growth aimed at developing their homeland. UN Women, supervised
UN-Women, the UN agency for gender equality and empowerment of women undertook training in Haiti, of a group of seven representatives of civil society responsible to supervise UN-Women and ensure the adequacy of its programs with the real needs of women and girls of Haiti.
