64 young new veterinary agents graduated
Thursday, as part of the program of rural entrepreneurs for agricultural cooperation of Heifer International working in Haiti since 1991 in the areas of livestock, agriculture and the environment, Heifer International has proceeded to the graduation of 64 new young veterinary agents, coming from 7 departments of the country. Recruited by competition, the training of these young lasted six months and combined theory and practice.

Haiti’s tourism sector is going on steroids
During the inaugural flight of Jet Blue in Haiti, the U.S. Ambassador Pamela White declared "The Government of Haiti has identified the tourism sector as a key engine of economic growth, and is enthusiastically promoting investment in tourism. JetBlue is making a real contribution to that effort. With three new airports, renovations at many of Haiti’s historic sites, brand new five star hotels and a dynamic Minister, I think Haiti’s tourism sector is going on steroids in 2014."

1st edition of the International Book Fair of the DNL
The National Directorate of Book (DNL) is organizing its 1st edition of the International Book Fair of Haiti to be held December 12 to 15 in Port-au-Prince. Frankétienne, which will be the guest of honor expressed his determination to offer his work to the future generations declared "I am closer to the grave and I do not want my books make the happiness of insects." In addition to allow to acquire books with a 50% discount, all books of Frankétienne will receive a discount of 80%.

Christmas Market of the Great South

From 20 to 22 December 2013, hundreds of traders of South, South-East and Port-au-Prince will present at the Place d'Armes of Les Cayes their products in pretty wooden stalls, to allow visitors discover the artistic, cultural and gastronomic potential of the Great South. A whole selection of item will be proposed: Christmas lights, local produce, but also jewelry, textiles, pottery, ornaments, Christmas cookies etc... New confectionery will be unveiled on this occasionto the general public.

World Premiere in Ski for Haiti
Haitian Ski Federation (FHS) will hold on 11 and 12 January 2014 in Veysonnaz (Switzerland), in cooperation with Swiss-Ski, a test of the FIS Masters Cup. For the first time ever, one of the smallest nations in the ski (2 licensees alpine], the FHS will be the organizer of a proof of the World Cup Ski Masters. Jean Pierre Roy, aka "Rasta Piquett" the first Haitian international skier and President of the FHS will take the start of the race and for the first time also in the field of international skiing, a test will be officially organized in "code-sharing" between two countries, Switzerland, and Haiti main organizer.
