Mandela, statement of Pamela White
Following the death of Nelson Mandela, Ambassador of the United States in Haiti declared "I would like to share my thoughts on the passing of Nelson Mandela. I lived in South Africa from 1995-1998 and have seen him strive for peace in a land with a history of violence. He allowed the very people who put him in prison to come to the table and talk about a new future for South Africa. He rejected hatred of individuals and chose love of his country. Let’s all look to Mandela and his great leadership skills as the best way to move any country forward. WE can best respect his memory by following in his footsteps."

Suspension of activities of the "Year of the Dominican Republic"
Josette Borel Lingertine, President of the Region (Guadeloupe) announced the suspension of activities devoted to the Year of the Dominican Republic because of the decision taken by the Dominican government on the issue of the loss of nationality of children born of Haitian descendants in the Dominican Republic since 1929. A decision that she considers incomprehensible and that "must be reconsidered in a direction favorable to the persons concerned, "saying ready to support all efforts towards this sense.

Competition for the future supervisor of the POLITOUR
On Thursday, the Departmental Directorate North of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) conducted an entrance test for the future supervisor of the POLITOUR in order to prepare the deployment in the Northern Region of a team of officers of the tourist police. 15 PNH officers, participated in this exam. International Week of Archives Francophones
On Friday, the Minister of Culture, Josette Darguste, accompanied among other by Wilfrid Bertrand, Director General of the National Archives and Uder Antoine, the Coordinator of the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH), officially launched the third edition of the International Week of Archives Francophones (SIAF3). uring this week, the OMRH organize a seminar in Port-au-Prince from December 8 to 14 under the theme "A good archiving, key to good governance in Haiti."
