Sunday afternoon at the Church of Saint Michel de Cazale (Department of the West), in the presence among others of the Deputy of the Arcahaie Pierre Féquière Julien, the Consul of Poland Dariusz Debski, several personalities and a large public, took place the 1st edition of the Day of Solidarity of the Polish People with the Polish Community in Haiti.

On this occasion, spectators were able to attend the performance of Polish popular songs and dances (Krakowiak, Mazur, the National Anthem of Poland, etc.) by young artists from Cazale. The show also featured several Haitian choreographies.

The Polish Consul, based in Bogotá, Colombia, who had made a special trip, said he was very happy to visit Cazale for the second time. According to him, "this Day of Solidarity of the Polish People with the Polish Community in Haiti is a very great initiative that celebrates the friendship between two brotherly countries whose history dates back to the war of Haitian independence [where Polish of the Napoleon's army changed camps to fight alongside the Haitian]."
